ENTERING THE SHOW: TICA REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
|
IMPORTANT CHANGE IN TICA RULES!
Effective May 1, 2019, all cats, kittens, and alters shown with a "pending"
registration number must provide proof that the cat can be TICA
registered to be entered in a show. (This new rule does
not apply to HHPs and HHP kittens.)
- All cats shown in the Kitten, Championship, and Alter classes must be
either TICA registered or, if not yet registered, must be eligible for registration
(and proof is required for entry).
- All cats shown in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed,
and New Trait must provide a TICA registration number when entering
a show.
- Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do
not need to be TICA registered to compete.
(No change to existing rules.)
What's Different?
Effective May 1, 2019, when you enter a cat, kitten or alter in a
show with a
"pending" TICA registration, you must now provide proof that your entry is
eligible to be registered in TICA.
You can submit any of
the following in order to prove registration eligibility:
- A copy of your TICA registration application. This can be a screenshot
of the tica.org ticket
for the registration or a copy of the individual registration
application.
- A copy of the TICA Breeder Slip for the cat.
- A copy of the TICA litter registration for your cat's litter.
- A copy of the pedigree for your cat issued by a recognized
cat association.
- A copy of the pedigree or registration papers for both the sire and dam
of your cat issued by a recognized cat association.
- A copy of other registration documents for your cat issued by a
recognized cat association, indicating the cat's breed.
HOW DO I PROVIDE PROOF?
Just enter your cat using the
TOES
online entry system. When you do so, TOES will prompt you for proof
of registration eligibility if you enter a cat with a "pending"
registration. Just follow the instructions in TOES; if you have any
questions, please contact the entry clerk.
